Cardiff MET secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel at Cyncoed Stadium in the Novira Cymru Premier on Friday night. The win was built on a first-half brace from Jack Veale and a second-half strike from Jasper Payne.

Manager Ryan Jenkins saw his side deliver a complete performance. The Archers now sit 7th in the Premier League with 9 points from their opening five matches, having won three and lost two. Their goal difference stands at +4, with 11 scored and 7 conceded so far this season.

Jack Veale opened the scoring with a remarkable direct corner that sailed over the goal line. He doubled his tally before the break with a beautifully curled free-kick that found the top corner. Cardiff MET's second goal came from Jasper Payne, who finished a move assisted by Myles McKenzie. The home side created other chances too, with CJ Craven having an effort and Sam Jones forcing a save from Briton Ferry goalkeeper Rhys Wilson.

This result means Cardiff MET already have as many wins from their early fixtures as they managed in their first twelve games of the previous campaign. It's a significant early-season boost for Jenkins's squad.

The visitors' night was made more difficult when Luke Salter received a second yellow card with ten minutes remaining. Salter was dismissed for a foul on Fumpa Mwandwe on the edge of the Cardiff MET penalty area. Playing with ten men, Briton Ferry Llansawel could not find a way back into the contest against a disciplined Archers defence.

The three points provide solid momentum as Cardiff MET look to climb the table. They currently trail league leaders Barry Town by six points. The team's recent form reads WLLWW, showing they can string results together. This kind of home performance, with multiple players contributing to the scoreline, is exactly what Jenkins will want to see repeated.

Looking ahead, the focus shifts to the next fixture. Cardiff MET are scheduled to host Penybont at Cyncoed Stadium on October 30th. Penybont currently occupy 6th place, setting up a tight mid-table clash. Fans can view the full schedule on our fixtures page. Building on this clean-sheet victory will be the immediate objective for the squad.
