Cardiff MET lost 3-1 to Trefelin in a Cymru Premier fixture on Friday. The defeat leaves Ryan Jenkins's side seventh in the table with 21 points from 13 matches.

Trefelin took an early lead from the penalty spot through L. Ware after eight minutes. J. Jones doubled the visitors' advantage just after the half-hour mark. Cardiff MET pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute when J. Hooper found the net, but Trefelin substitute R. Piper sealed the win with a third goal 11 minutes from time.

Jenkins made two changes in the second half, bringing on J. Clarke and R. Reynolds for Hooper and H. Matthews. The loss is part of a mixed recent run for Cardiff MET, whose form over the last five league games reads two wins, one draw and two defeats.

Cardiff MET's next match is a Welsh Cup tie against Ynyshir Albions at Cyncoed Campus on 16 October. Their next league assignment is a home game against third-placed Penybont on 31 October.
