Cardiff Met WFC Prepares for Adran Premier Play-Off

Play-Off Preview

Cardiff Met WFC will meet Connah’s Quay Nomads in the Adran Premier promotion play-off, a single match that will determine whether the students secure a place in the top flight for the 2025/26 season. The game is scheduled to take place at the Cyncoed Campus, where the club’s supporters have already begun to imagine a stadium-filled atmosphere. Under the guidance of coaching staff including Nick Vanderpump, the team has worked hard all season to reach this decisive moment.

Journey to the Threshold

The club’s path to the play-off has been built on consistent performances across the park. Players have shown resilience in defence and clinical finishing in attack, earning the club a place among genuine promotion contenders. Training sessions have intensified, with players sharpening skills and refining tactics in preparation for the high-stakes match. The focus has shifted from long-term development to delivering a performance that matches the occasion and secures promotion.

Facing the Nomads

Connah’s Quay Nomads are known for their resilience and ambition. The play-off is expected to be a cagey affair, decided by fine margins, individual brilliance, or tactical decisions from the dug-out. Cardiff Met’s students will need to combine their trademark fluid attacking play with defensive solidity to neutralise the Nomads’ threats and impose their own style. The match will test composure under pressure and the ability to perform when everything is on the line.

Supporters’ Role

The club’s supporters are called upon to create an electric atmosphere that turns the ground into a fortress. Vocal backing from the stands, belief in the team, and passion for the badge are seen as vital to inspiring the players. The collective effort of fans, staff, and players is framed as the key to achieving promotion and celebrating the club’s ambition and talent.

The play-off represents the culmination of a season of hard work, and the club’s leadership believes that with determination and support, the dream of reaching the Adran Premier is within reach.
