Cardiff MET will make their 2026/27 Cymru Premier debut on live BBC coverage when they face Barry Town United on August 15. The match kicks off at 12:30pm and will be available on BBC iPlayer as part of a new three-year broadcasting deal between BBC Cymru Wales and the Football Association of Wales. Last season, Cardiff MET drew 2-2 with Flint Town United on April 18, 2026, and enter this campaign with recent form of one win, two draws and two losses in their last five matches.

The agreement guarantees at least 20 live matches per season on BBC platforms, doubling the free coverage compared to last season. BBC Sport Online will provide additional updates and highlights. How does this impact the league?
FAW head of domestic leagues Jack Sharp said the BBC deal will help grow the league's profile. He added: 'This partnership will increase awareness of the Novira Cymru Premier, attract new audiences and support our ambition to grow the game in Wales.' The deal runs until summer 2029 and operates alongside the FAW's own Cymru Football TV streaming service.
